2010 Autumn Doubles Tournament Winners

2010 Round-Robin Doubles

48 players took part in the Autumn Round-Robin Doubles Night Tournament played last night (Saturday, 22 May).

The winners were Atsuko Nakamura & Emma Marriott (Open Women), Ian Cheong & David Evans (Open Men), Jess Rowley & Emma Fitzpatrick (A Grade Women), Scott Heath & Adi Moe (A Grade Men) and Craig Lam & Robert Lugton (B & C Grade Men).

This was a participation-style tournament run in conjunction with the Brisbane Night Tennis Association.  Round-Robin formats were used to ensure everybody kept playing and got lots of matches.

The next of the Club’s participation-style tournaments is the Winter Night Singles Tournament which will be played on Friday 4 June (B Grade events) and Saturday 5 June (Open, A Grade & C Grade events).  Entries for this tournament close on Thursday 27 May.

2010 Autumn ITN Series #2

18 players took part in the Second Tournament in the Autumn ITN Progression Night Tournament Series which was played on Saturday 8 May.

For a change it was fine and it was a great night for Tennis.  Every player got a lot of matches during the night (5 short sets & 2 normal sets).

The overall winner was Chris Noble

The level winners were Chris Noble (ITN 4 Men) and Ian Cheong (ITN 5 Men).
