Team Fixtures at UQ are run by the UQ Tennis Club on Monday and Tuesday nights.

The Team Fixture formats may vary but all use any-gender formats.

Membership

In order to play Team Fixtures, you must become a member the UQ tennis Club. Membership of UQ Sport is no longer required for joining the UQ Tennis Club. The entry form also doubles as a Membership application form.

How to join

See the Members and Fixtures Application form on the left.

Please note that the fees for each fixture are for the entire season, not per week, and do vary between the different options. Entries must be lodged by the closing date as there is usually very little time for us to organise times and make the draw before the season starts.

If you have not played for UQTC before you will have to come to a grading session. Times and dates are on the entry form. This ensures that teams are made up with players of same standard and makes play more enjoyable for all. If you feel you have improved after some time, you can always come to another grading. We also keep statistics on how you perform during the season and use this to update your grading.

Grading sessions for First Semester Team Fixtures will be held on Monday 24 March & Wednesday 26 March from 7 pm to 9 pm.  Grading sessiosn scheduled for 17 & 19 March have been cancelled because of the delay to the light installation work caused by Cyclone Alfred.

Please fill out the entry form (Pages 3 & 4) as completely as possible. A working e-mail address really helps us as we send out 'e-updates' during the season to remind you of events. Mobile phone and work phone numbers help your team captain organise the team each week.

Check the Team Selection Policies before lodging an application.

Singles Fixtures

The Club now also has a new competition, Singles Fixtures.  This is a competition for individuals, not teams.  It is played using a mixture of Team Fixtures and Tournament rules.  The competition usually runs for two consecutive monday nights.  Unlike Team Fixtures, entry for Singles Fixtures is open to non-members as well as members.
