Welcome Party & Program Trials and New Lights Celebration (Friday 4 April)

NOTE: THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED FROM 14 MARCH TO FRIDAY, 4 APRIL, BECAUSE OF THE DELAY TO THE LIGHT INSTALLATION WORK CAUSED BY CYCLONE ALFRED.

The UQ Tennis Club’s First Semester Welcome Party & Program Trials will now be held on Friday, 4 April, starting at 6 p.m.

With the light installation work completed, this is also an opportunity for a New Lights Celebration.  Current UQ players can check out the new lights, meet ‘new’ players & welcome them to the Club, and for everybody to relax and have some fun.

Entry is free for UQ students who purchased a Tennis Card at Market Day.  The entry fee is $5 for all others.  All entrants will receive a free ticket for the Lucky Prize Draws that will be conducted throughout the evening (UQ students with a Tennis Card will receive 2 tickets for the Lucky Prize Draws).

New players will be able to try out Social Tennis & Tennis Practice and play some on-court games.  This will be followed by a free barbecue & snacks on the clubhouse verandah and games in the clubhouse. The Smash Bar will be open from 7 p.m. with student-friendly prices. 

This is a great opportunity for current players to meet ‘new’ players, welcome them to the Club, and for everybody to relax and have some fun.
