Volunteers Thank-You Xmas BBQ

The UQ Tennis Club held a Thank-You Xmas BBQ last Sunday evening, 8 December, for its volunteer workers.

All of the UQ Tennis Club’s competitive and non-competitive Tennis programs are only possible because of the hard work, dedication and passion of the Club’s volunteer workers, the heart of the Club.

It was great to have the volunteer organizers relaxing together after a long year of Tennis activities. There was plenty of food, including desserts, and drinks from The Smash Bar. Vice-Presidents Rebecca Warner & Troy Smith thanked the volunteers and handed out the Christmas presents.  A lucky prize draw was also held with Adrian Hong, Ethan Gunn and Alex Levchenko the winners.

Special guests were Cappy Engelbrecht (a long-term sponsor) and Cr Penny Wolff (Councillor for Walter Taylor Ward & a Club Vice-Patron).
