Social Tennis is Back

All courts have re-opened and Social Tennis is back in full swing.

Social Tennis resumed on Thursday, 28 January (7 to 10 p.m.) and Sunday, 31 January (2 to 6 p.m.).

For contact tracing purposes, electronic check-in is now mandatory.  Payments must be bt EFTPOS.  Membership Card must be presented for membership discount.

For electronic check-in*, scan the QR codes on display at the entrance with your smart phone, fill in the form and ‘Submit’.  Show the check-in confirmation on your smart phone to the Social Tennis organizers.

To speed things up when checking in, do your electronic contact tracing check-in before you get to the Social Tennis desk (you pass 5 QR code posters), show the check-in confirmation to the organizers and have your card or smartphone/watch ready to tap for payment.

To speed up matches, Social Tennis is now using No-Ad scoring - when the score reaches deuce, a sudden-death point is played to decide the game (the sudden-death point is served to the court nominated by the receivers).

* If you have trouble checking in with the QR code or don’t have a smart phone, see the Social Tennis organizers.

Social Tennis is running under a COVID-Safe Plan approved by UQ Sport.  For more details about the COVID-Safe conditions, go to:
