After a great start to 2020 with good numbers in most programs, things were looking set for a fantastic year of Tennis at UQ.
Then things went haywire with the arrival of COVID-19. On 24 March, with the COVID-19 situation getting worse, all sport at UQ was locked down.
After four long months, as restrictions have been eased, Tennis is slowly coming back.
Because of the 4 month gap in activities, all Club Memberships have automatically been extended by 6 months.
This means Half-Year Memberships (1 January to 30 June, 2020) have been extended to 31 December 2020 and Full-Year Memberships (1 January to 31 December 2020) have been extended to 30 June 2021. No new membership cards will be issued.
2020 Full-Year Members, with their membership extended to 30 June 2021, will be able to buy a July-December 2021 membership for half the 2021 annual membership fee.
Any members who want a partial refund instead of a membership extension will need to apply for a refund totreasurer@uqtc.org.auby 17 August.
Refund requests will then be considered by the Management Committee, taking into account the particular circumstances for each request.
Students who purchased a First Semester Come ānā Try Tennis Card at Clubs & Societies Day (19 February) or Market Day (26 February) will be able to use their card until the end of the year.
