Annual Club Championships

The Annual Club Championships will be played over three weekends – 3-4 May, 10-11 May & 17-18 May.  

Entry in the Club Championships is restricted to Ordinary, Associate and Junior Members of the UQ Tennis Club.  Restricted Members and non-members cannot play in the Club Championships.  The tournament will be played at 4 levels to cater for all members. 

Event eligibility:

OPEN  -  top level 
A GRADE  -  equiv. to or lower than Men UTR 7.50 & Women UTR 6.50 (approx.. UQTC Fixtures A2 Grade; UQTC Social low Red)
B GRADE  -  equiv. to or lower than Men UTR 6.50 & Women UTR 5.50 (approx.. UQTC Fixtures B1 Grade; UQTC Social Yellow)
C GRADE  -  equiv. to or lower than Men UTR 4.50 & Women UTR 3.50 (Uapprox. QTC Fixtures C1 Grade; UQTC Social Green)

Where possible, the Open & B Grade Singles & Doubles events will be played on the first weekend (3-4 May), all Mixed Doubles events will be played on the second weekend (10-11 May) and the A Grade & C Grade Singles & Doubles events will be played on third weekend (17-18 May).  However, organizers reserve the right to play an event on all days if it deems that entry numbers, weather conditions or court availability would make it impossible to complete the event in the two days specified.

As this is a prestigious Club event, winners and runners-up will receive engraved trophies at a Trophy Presentation that will be held later in the semester.

Entries for the Club Championships must be lodged on-line via the Tennis Australia Tournaments Website here.  This is also the link where players can check their entry has been received and check who else has entered.

Entries close on Sunday, 27 April.
