First Semester Market Day Student Offer (Come 'n' Try Tennis Card)

For just $10, UQ Students visiting the UQ Tennis Club's information stall at Market Day (Wednesday, 19 February - 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.) can purchase the Tennis Card which is a Come 'n' Try Card to sample the Club's non-competitive Tennis programs (Sunday Afternoon Social Tennis, Thursday Night Social Tennis and Wednesday Night Tennis Practice).  It also includes free entry to the Club's Welcome Party & Program Trials on Friday, 14 March.

All UQ Students who purchase a Tennis Card will also go into a Lucky Draw for a HEAD Prize Pack, valued at over $200.  The Prize Pack consists of a HEAD Tennis Racquet, a HEAD Bag, a can of HEAD TOUR XT Tennis Balls and a pack of HEAD Xtreme Soft Overgrips.  The prize winner will be drawn during Sunday Afternoon Social Tennis on 23 February.

The Tennis Card is only available for current UQ Students and only on Market Day (19 February) at the UQ Tennis Club's information stall in the Great Cour cloisters.

The Tennis Card is not a membership card.  It is a Programs Come 'n' Try card and does not give member discounts for Club programs.  Club Memberships costs $80 (Half Year, to 30 June 2025) or $120 (Full Yera, to 31 December 2025).  Apply for membership here

Note: While catering for high to low level players, Social Tennis is not for absolute beginners as it is not a teaching program. Absolute beginners should enrol in a Beginners Adult Group Coaching Course with the UQ Sport Tennis Centre and attend the Club’s Wednesday Night Practice program. Players should not attend Social Tennis until they have mastered the basic shots, can sustain a rally, know the basic rules and understand the scoring system.

As the Tennis Card is valid until the end of December, new players can still use the card to try out Social Tennis at the end of their coaching course.  However, new players are also able to use their Tennis Card to attend Practice in lieu of attending Social Tennis.
