Finally - all courts repaired

On Wednesday last week, Sports Technology International completed the resurfacing of the last 7 courts to be repaired.

Last Thursday, the line-marking on these courts was completed.

On Friday, the net posts were put in place and the nets erected.

Therefore, all 21 courts at the UQ Tennis Centre are again operational.

The 21 courts consist of:

5 Laykold Cushion courts (Nos. A & 17-20)

14 Laykold courts (Nos. 1-10 & 13-16)

2 Synthetic Grass courts (No. 11-12)

There is still some work to be completed – net strap anchors have to be inserted and umpire stands, shelter sheds and spectator seating have to be re-installed. There is still no definite news about when the 30:40 Cafe will re-open.
