Double COVID-19 Vax Required to Play UQ Social Tennis

The Queensland Government has mandated that from Friday, 17 December, proof of COVID-19 vaccination status will be required for entry to licensed clubs such as the UQ Tennis Club.

This means that players attending Social Tennis, who are 16 years and over, will need to show that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (i.e. have had two doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccine) or have a valid medical exemption.

As this is mandated by the Queensland Government with significant penalties for non-compliance, please show our volunteer organizers respect no matter what your views about the COVID-19 pandemic may be.  Players who cannot show proof of their COVID-19 vaccination status to Social Tennis organizers will be required to leave.

The easiest way for anybody to show their vaccination status is by adding their COVID-19 digital certificate to the Check In Qld app.  Otherwise, it is a two-step process – do the contact tracing check-in and then show an immunization history statement or COVID-19 digital certificate.

For information about adding a COVID-19 digital certificate or adding a medical exemption certificate to the Check In Qld app, go to:
