Davis Cup

Australia defeated Japan 5-0 in the Davis Cup (Asia-Oceania Zone Group I, Round 2) at the Queensland Tennis Centre (Tennyson) on 7-9 May.  The match was played on a specially-built clay court on the Pat Rafter Arena.  The Australian team consisted of Lleyton Hewitt, Peter Luczak, Carsten Ball and Paul Hanley.

Australia will now play  Belgium in the World Group Play-Offs in Australia on 17-19 September for a place in the World Group in 2011.
