After being postponed from 1-2 June because of rain, the Winter Night Singles Tournament was played last Friday & Saturday (8-9 June).
In the end, only 26 players took part following the withdrawal of 14 of the original entrants because of injuries, illness and prior commitments. Everybody got tons of Tennis and there were some great contests, as exemplified by the 6-5 cliff-hanger between Colin Prince and Christian Cortes to decide the Open event.
The level winners were Rajeev Balakrishnan (B Grade Men), Lucie Ayotte (A Grade Women), Ryan Carson (A Grade Men), Ashley Wilkinson (Open Women) and Colin Prince (Open Men). The winner of the lucky draw for the Wilson Prize Pack was David Williams.
Eligibility: Entry is restricted to members of The University of Queensland Tennis Club or the Brisbane Night Tennis Association.
