2024 Ekka Singles Challenge Tournament

BECAUSE OF THE NUMBER OF PLAYERS WHO HAVE PULLED OUT WITH THE WASHOUT ON 14 AUGUST, ON-LINE ENTRIES HAVE BEEN RE-OPENED.  THE TOURNAMENT WILL NOW BE PLAYED ON SATURDAY MORNING, 18 AUGUST, STARTING AT 9 A.M. 

The Ekka Singles Challenge Tournament is a daytime event which will be played on Wednesday morning, 14 August, from 9 a.m. to approx. 2 p.m.

Note:  If play on 14 August is prevented or interrupted because of the weather, the tournament will be played or continued on the following Sunday morning, 18 August.  Entrants should ensure they are available for both mornings if necessary. 

Eligibility: Entry restricted to members of the UQ Tennis Club.  However, non-members will be granted free Restricted Membership of the Club (which includes free registration with Tennis Queensland) so that everybody can enter.  A higher entry fee applies for Restricted Members. 

Format: Participation-style tournament (formats used that keep everybody playing irrespective of whether they win or lose).
