Summer Doubles Tournament Results
There was some great competition Tennis at the UQ Tennis Club on Saturday night, 1 February, as 48 players took part in the UQ Tennis Club's Summer Night Series Doubles Tournament.
Round-Robin formats were used to keep everybody playing all night.
The 3-pair Round-Robin Final for the A Grade Men was particularly close with each pair winning a match. With a tie on games won, a countback of games lost was needed to determine the winners.
The event winners were:
A Grade Men - Le Van DOAN & Dave NGUYEN
B Grade Men - Sungjin KIM & Jaeho LEE
B & C Grade Ladies - Trish JOHNSON & Petrina WEATHERSTONE
C Grade Men - Hyunho KIM & Junghan LEE
After a night of hot Tennis action, it was time for cold drinks on the verandah. The Lucky Prize Draw winners were Jim Peng, Mauricio Antoniolli and Matt Horne.

Unfortunately, because 17 courts are closed for light installation work, the Summer Series Mixed Doubles Tournament, scheduled to be played on 15 February, has had to be cancelled.
It will also not be possible to start the Autumn Series Tournaments on 1 March. This has meant a change to the tournament schedule for March and April.
The new schedule for tournaments in March & April is:
Autumn Night Series Mixed Doubles Tournament - 15 March
Fastennis Singles Challenge Tournament - 23 March
Autumn Night Series Singles Tournament - 29 March & 5 April
Autumn Night Series Doubles Tournament - 26 April
